I recently met up with Elizabeth and Brett at the Florida Institute of Technology, which is where they met. We then headed to the beach. They were in town to wrap up some of the planning for their destination wedding in Stuart, FL this November.
First stop: The old stomping grounds. Apparently lots of fun and good memories were attached to a somewhat secret hideout located in an obscure corner of the campus gardens. After a few missed turns and a little bushwacking through overgrown trails we found the spot. Parts of the bench had been rebuilt, but the spot still had all the character from years of hanging out. It had a nice view of the river running by it. I was crouching down to get a shot when Brett said, “Hey Mike, watch out for gators down there”. Didn’t need to tell me twice
Lots of laughs as they reminisced about “back in the day…”

We then moved onto the campus commons and hung out under the clock tower.

After that, it was time to head to the beach. A short 10 min drive from campus and we were barefoot in the sand. Good thing I didn’t go to school here or you’d have to peel me away from the beach to get me back into class ![]()

Thanks, guys, for the awesome time! I’m really looking forward to your wedding!
