Jacksonville Wedding Photojournalist :: Getting to know Todd & Suzie

It was an immediate attraction. Todd walked in the room and Suzie felt it. Even her CPR classmate noticed and gave her a hard time. Todd had stepped to the back of the room and then corrected Suzie in her compression of her infant dummy. She literally thought her ears were going to catch fire because she was so blushed! She soon found out he was unavailable and didn’t really give him another thought, until Snoopy showed up.

Todd & Suzie ended up working at the same fire station in Jacksonville for a bit. Todd was bringing his dog Snoopy (a.k.a. Snoop Dogg) to work and leaving him in the office during the day while he was out in the field training. Suzie couldn’t stand having this cute little dog cooped up in Todd’s office all day, so she decided to start sneaking him out and taking him on walks in and around the station. She returned Snoopy to Todd’s office each day before he retuned. It wasn’t long before Todd was notified that a “cute cadet” had been taking care of his canine in his absence. He called Suzie back to his office to find out why and to also thank her. This exchange was the beginning of a deep friendship that would later grow into a deep love for one another.

One evening after one of their many “friendship dinners” of take out at the San Marco bridge, the conversation got serious about a relationship. They decided it was time to pursue this “thing” between them. And then came the first kiss there at the bridge. Todd says it was love for him in that moment with that first kiss.
