Lake City Newborn Photographer :: Baby Amelia

She was almost a Christmas present, but she decided to wait. This way, she has another fun day to celebrate the day after Christmas. She’s a smart one Baby Amelia arrived to loving and excited parents and a proud big brother on December 26, 2011. We were there not long after to document this amazing time for this family. We were there just the week before for their maternity session!

When capturing moments like these for families, we want to answer the questions “How was I loved” and “What did that love look like?” We very much focus on the relationship between the parent(s) and the child. You can also get a better sense of the itty-bittyness of newborns when they are cradled by their parents. We use what is unique to each child as opposed to props brought in. We document things that are meaningful and sentimental, like the hand-made quilt or custom blanket displaying the child’s name. These are important items that are unique to you, not photographer-bought cute props that mean nothing to you and your child.

I love this newborn session. You can see and feel the love for this baby. You can feel their deep gratitude for this little miracle they’ve been blessed with. We are so honored to be alongside them to capture their journey as they navigate the first year with precious Baby Amelia.
