Orlando Wedding Photographer :: Getting to Know Scott & Cristina

So what do we really mean when we say “Get to know so-and-so”? Well, we mean just that. We get to know them and hope that through what we share about them and the images we created, that you get to know our amazing couples also. We learn about how they fell in love, how he proposed, what their dreams are for their future, and so many other things. We want to know what makes them tick and lights them up. We want to know what they love about each other and what they love doing together. These getting-to-know-you sessions are so much more than just pretty pictures. They capture what life is like right now in this chapter of their lives. They capture not just what our couples look like, but who they are.

Scott & Cristina were introduced through Stefanie, whose wedding to Ryan we captured back in 2011. Stefanie & Scott had worked together and Stefanie was friends with both of them. Scott was part of an accounting audit that was being done as Cristina’s medical office. Stefanie kept talking about Scott to Cristina, but she paid little attention to the guy with his tax-season beard in full swing. A few months later, Stefanie had Cristina over to celebrate her birthday with some of their friends. Well, before going out to meet everyone else, Stefanie suggested that Cristina come over to her house to hang out for a bit beforehand. Turns out that she invited Scott over too. Sneaky little Stefanie! Cristina was suddenly more interested in this handsome, clean-shaven gentleman at her friend’s house. They connected immediately, spent the rest of the evening hanging out and the rest is a love story!

Cristina & Scott have built their relationship on running. They take a run together each day and that’s how they connect and communicate. It only made perfect sense to capture them doing something that is a foundation of their relationship. Mike basically spent an afternoon with them doing what they would normally do an a date and actually their favorite things to do together! After a short  jog, they took a stroll around Winter Park and Casa Feliz, where they got engaged. They then enjoyed some time at Hillstone (Houston’s) Restaurant. They intentionally go without reservations because it forces them to chill out, relax, and spend quality time together. Such a great concept! They see themselves in 10 years still in Florida with hopefully a couple of kids. Family will still be close by so that there can be lots of family gatherings.
