Getting To Know Holli & Scott :: Lake Eola Park, Orlando FL

” I had ALWAYS been crazy about him” Holli says about Scott. We met Scott as groomsman in Stephanie & Jon’s wedding in 2008. She’s had a crush on him since they met through Scott’s best friend about 7 years ago. Holli was at FSU and Scott at UF. I know, ANOTHER mixed marriage!! They’ll make it, though. There will definitely be some rough game days, but their love for each other shall prevail Well, after meeting and hanging out a bit here and there, it was several years later that these two reconnected after running into each other and hanging out all night in Downtown Orlando. They were both finally single and Holli “snatched him up” for herself. Forever…….

Their first “official” date took place at Wild Side BBQ in Thornton Park. They had dinner and then made their way around Lake Eola. They ended up in a local pub with Scott showing Holli how you really play darts. So, for their getting-to-know-you session, that’s just what we did. And what fun we had!!

Thanks, Holli & Scott, for a fantastic time hanging out with you guys. You are so awesome and we can’t wait until March for your Mission Inn wedding. It’s going to be amazing!

Diva In Training :: Kimber’s WILD session

Who needs a studio when you have a closet? Huh? Sounds crazy, I know. But you should see this closet! I knew that we were going to design custom birthday party invitations for Kimber’s first birthday party from her session images. I also knew that there was a hot pink & zebra print theme. It just so happened that Kimber’s Aunt Amy posted pictures of her new fabulous closet on Facebook. Her closet is hot pink with zebra print!! Perfect! Even more perfect is that we were already going to be at Amy & Richard’s on the morning of Kimber’s session. SCORE! It could not have been more perfect.

Kimber is the niece of Richard & Amy and daughter to Paul & Kelly of Lake City. She is adorable!! We are so excited about documenting her birthday party in just a couple of weeks. I’m sure this will be a party unlike any other first birthday parties we’ve ever seen!

Family Stories :: Meet Ryan, Pam & Reagan

Everyone has a story. Sometimes it’s not obvious, but everyone has one. We believe that incredibly beautiful and emotionally rewarding imagery is a by-product of us understanding your story so we may help visually communicate and document it. Stories we tell may involve heartache, celebration, and deep appreciation, just to name a few. That’s how life is, really. That’s how this family is. Meet Ryan, Pam and Reagan. They definitely have a story of heartache, celebration and deep appreciation for what they have in life – each other.

Reagan is very special 3 year old who has an angel for a big brother. Wayland Clay Touchton was born almost 5 years ago and almost immediately was called home by God. It is through their pain that this family has become such a catalyst for good. They are huge advocates and supporters of March of Dimes/ March for Babies and Shands. They signify hope for others who have suffered the loss of a child. Reagan is that hope! Reagan is the triumph and celebration that helps heal the heartache. You can sense the deep appreciation that Ryan & Pam have for the gift of life they have been blessed with in their beautiful daughter. Reagan is so full of life, love & laughter!! She is the ray of sunshine that shines no matter what

Despite the fact that a massive thunderstorm was brewing overhead, we managed to quickly capture this family during some playtime in the front yard. We had so much fun!

Miss Adaline wishes everyone a Happy 4th!

I’ve not been the greatest at holiday posts in the past. I get busy with the boys and life and doing holiday stuff- like NOT working. That’s why it’s a holiday, right?? Well, the 4th is Sunday, which should be everyone’s weekly holiday, and we have this session to post in honor of this Independence Day. I’m two days early, and that, my friends, is something to celebrate!!

Most of you will probably remember Miss Adaline. She’s only like the cutest thing EVER!! We have watched her grow since she was in her mommy’s tummy. Now, another baby is growing in her mommy’s tummy (GO Karen & Travis!!) We have just fallen in love with this amazing and growing family in Lake City. I’ve fallen in love with Lake City, but I’m really a small-town girl anyway. We always enjoy our time there with the familes and couples that have chosen us to tell their stories. Here’s just a few moments of Adaline’s story.

Family Stories :: Meet Baby Davis

I once had a baby like this. Well, he’s not really a baby anymore since he’s almost two. His name is Brooks and he was the kind of baby that made you want ten more! Okay, maybe at least one more. You know, the kind of angelic baby that eats, sleeps and does his business and is just happy and quiet- and you could be completely content just holding him and looking at him all day. Baby Davis seems to be this kind of perfect little baby.

Davis William McCue joined his parents earlier than expected in Lake City on May 22nd and he’s absolutely beautiful! He was so content and peaceful while we were there. This was definitely one of our best newborn sessions. He never fussed and was very agreeable. I always love listening to the little noises they make. It’s pure music to my ears.

Welcome to the world, Baby Davis.

Congratulations, Scott & Candice, on your precious addition to your family. Your lives will be forever enriched! Welcome to parenthood

Married:: Travis & Michelle’s Tropical Island Wedding Details

Travis & Michelle’s tropical island & “Parrott” themed wedding was so incredibly unique and just beyond gorgeous. It wasn’t just that they had amazing details, but that all the details and the theme were so important to them and their story. They adore their dogs, Rudy & Harley, so they were the ring bearers. Their last name is now Parrott, so there were several parrotts hanging around. Their “Be-as-you-Are” theme, taken from the Kenny Chesney song of the same name, was woven throughout the day in every way. Kenny’s song sings of the Virgin Islands, hanging with the locals at Quiet Mon, Pina Coladas, hammocks, palm trees and escaping the rat race. Jost Van Dyke in the Virgin Islands is where Mr & Mrs Parrott chose to honeymoon as newlyweds so that they could be as they are.

There were so many amazing vendors that helped created this amazing experience for Michelle & Travis and their guests. Karry Castillo along with Jackie & Erinn of Uniquely Yours Wedding & Event Specialist did an incredible job on Travis & Michelle’s wedding with bringing this dream to life! There are so many other vendors that should be recognized because they each brought their unique talents & vision to this day. Thanks you all!!

Married :: Travis & Michelle’s Amazing Tropical Island Themed Wedding

We have waited for this day for 2 1/2 years!! It finally arrived and was beyond amazing in every way. Michelle & Travis are such an amazing couple and we couldn’t be more honored to be a part of their day and love story. They originally booked us back in October 2007, and then decided to reschedule the wedding for a later date. They contacted us again months later with the new date, and thus our journey with them began. We have really enjoyed getting to know them and understand their love for each other. They have such love, respect and admiration for each other. We are so thrilled they are finally Mr & Mrs Parrott.

They wed just a couple of weeks ago on Banyan Tree Ranch, the treasured home of Michelle’s parents. This is where Michelle & Travis love to be with the people and animals they love and they can be as they are. They then celebrated with family & friends at their Radisson Resort at the Port reception.

Family Legacy :: Amy & Richard’s Storybook Album

I want to share a little bit about what we do with all the amazing and incredibly emotive images we document & capture on your wedding day. We do so much more than just take pictures that are handed over on a disc. We personally have proofs in a box from our wedding and no album- certainly no story of our wedding day. We tell the story in storybook format and also through the slideshows we post on each couple’s Story Page. It is our passion to tell your story and ensure that your story is preserved for generations. It’s not just your wedding day- it’s the creation of a family. We understand how important that is and that’s why your album is core to what we do and how we operate.

Amy & Richard created a new family unit when they became husband & wife back in November at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with the reception at The Country Club of Lake City. You can read more and see images of their gorgeous wedding here & here. You can also see their Disney Boardwalk getting-to-know-you-session here. They chose to invest in a completely custom, two-volume, 126-page album set. Amy’s mom got the 100-page “abridged” version. These albums are so gorgeous and the pictures truly can’t illustrate their beauty. They are heavy, well-constructed books that are designed to last for a lifetime and them some, being passed on for generations so that your family legacy continues to live on. Each album design is also completely custom, as it tells the story of your day. We use no pre-made templates. Everything we do is customized to you and your style and your story!

Getting to Know Jill & Jonathan :: Baldwin Park Engagement Session

She called me an ambulance chaser, Jonathan recalls. He thought it was actually pretty funny and appreciated Jill’s honesty. After all, He was a PI attorney at the time. Jill & Jonathan met during the Moot Court cocktail party in law school- Jill thinking of how cute, tall & funny he was. But the cute, tall & funny didn’t keep her from going abroad to London to study. It was a couple of years later when they finally became reacquainted at a friend’s wedding.

It was just meant to be- as they say. The stars must have perfectly aligned for Jill & Jonathan to come together the way they did. Or, maybe it was that Jonathan stealthily arranged to have their seats next to each other during the wedding reception. Nonetheless, two years after their initial encounter, they began dating and very soon thereafter fell in love. And the journey continues…..

We had such a great time getting to know and hang out with them for their Baldwin Park session. Jonathan is a Guitar Hero fanatic, so that’s how we started. Their long-haired chihuahua puppies, Izzy & Mo watched as Jonathan opened up a can of whoop-ass on Jill. She’s not alone- he apparently does this to ALL his friends! He’s the Guitar Hero king.

We are so honored and excited to document their Omni at Champions Gate wedding & reception this October. Please enjoy some of our favs…

Married :: Jamie & Gavin’s Palm Harbor White Chapel Wedding

We met Jamie a couple of years back when she was the maid of honor at Stephanie & Jon’s gorgeous wedding here at Cypress Grove. That night we captured Jamie catching the bouquet and Gavin the garter. Little did we know that we’d continue capturing and telling the next chapter in their lives several years later. To say we were delighted when she asked us to document their wedding ceremony at The Palm Harbor White Chapel and reception at Bon Appetit Restaurant would be an understatement. They are both so full of life and love that it has been such a blessing to us spending time getting to know them.

It was a beautiful day with an even more beautiful couple beginning their journey as husband & wife. Jamie was elegantly stunning in her Kleinfeld Bridal vintage-style lace gown and simple birdcage veil. Her long, loose curls complemented the look perfectly. Her feet were nestled inside of a fabulous pair of Manolo Blahnicks. She is one of the most beautiful brides we’ve ever seen! Her Flowers by Jenny florals tied the colors of the day together extremely well bringing together their vision of vintage-style elegance and sophistication.

The day was also filled with much emotion. So much had happened leading up to Jamie & Gavin’s wedding day, and the wedding day itself brought all these things to the surface. One of the most emotional times was during the ceremony when Jamie’s late grandfather was honored. He was a pastor and was to marry them prior to his recent passing. Needless to say, it was an emotional ceremony for his family.

Thanks, Jamie & Gavin, for sharing yourselves with us and invitng us to document the start of the rest of your lives together. We are honored to have been there for you and your families. We wish you many, many healthy, happy, and prosperous years together.
