Diva In Training :: Kimber’s WILD session

Who needs a studio when you have a closet? Huh? Sounds crazy, I know. But you should see this closet! I knew that we were going to design custom birthday party invitations for Kimber’s first birthday party from her session images. I also knew that there was a hot pink & zebra print theme. It just so happened that Kimber’s Aunt Amy posted pictures of her new fabulous closet on Facebook. Her closet is hot pink with zebra print!! Perfect! Even more perfect is that we were already going to be at Amy & Richard’s on the morning of Kimber’s session. SCORE! It could not have been more perfect.

Kimber is the niece of Richard & Amy and daughter to Paul & Kelly of Lake City. She is adorable!! We are so excited about documenting her birthday party in just a couple of weeks. I’m sure this will be a party unlike any other first birthday parties we’ve ever seen!

Family Stories :: Meet Ryan, Pam & Reagan

Everyone has a story. Sometimes it’s not obvious, but everyone has one. We believe that incredibly beautiful and emotionally rewarding imagery is a by-product of us understanding your story so we may help visually communicate and document it. Stories we tell may involve heartache, celebration, and deep appreciation, just to name a few. That’s how life is, really. That’s how this family is. Meet Ryan, Pam and Reagan. They definitely have a story of heartache, celebration and deep appreciation for what they have in life – each other.

Reagan is very special 3 year old who has an angel for a big brother. Wayland Clay Touchton was born almost 5 years ago and almost immediately was called home by God. It is through their pain that this family has become such a catalyst for good. They are huge advocates and supporters of March of Dimes/ March for Babies and Shands. They signify hope for others who have suffered the loss of a child. Reagan is that hope! Reagan is the triumph and celebration that helps heal the heartache. You can sense the deep appreciation that Ryan & Pam have for the gift of life they have been blessed with in their beautiful daughter. Reagan is so full of life, love & laughter!! She is the ray of sunshine that shines no matter what

Despite the fact that a massive thunderstorm was brewing overhead, we managed to quickly capture this family during some playtime in the front yard. We had so much fun!

Family Stories :: Meet Baby Davis

I once had a baby like this. Well, he’s not really a baby anymore since he’s almost two. His name is Brooks and he was the kind of baby that made you want ten more! Okay, maybe at least one more. You know, the kind of angelic baby that eats, sleeps and does his business and is just happy and quiet- and you could be completely content just holding him and looking at him all day. Baby Davis seems to be this kind of perfect little baby.

Davis William McCue joined his parents earlier than expected in Lake City on May 22nd and he’s absolutely beautiful! He was so content and peaceful while we were there. This was definitely one of our best newborn sessions. He never fussed and was very agreeable. I always love listening to the little noises they make. It’s pure music to my ears.

Welcome to the world, Baby Davis.

Congratulations, Scott & Candice, on your precious addition to your family. Your lives will be forever enriched! Welcome to parenthood

Family Stories :: Baby Davis on the Way

We met Candice a couple of years ago at Megan & Ryan’s wedding in Lake City, FL. She contacted us back in February requesting a maternity and newborn story. She likes to plan ahead! Well, she’s finally due in just one month and we can’t wait to meet Baby Davis when he arrives! Candice and Scott came into town just a couple of weeks ago from Gainesville for a very brief “babymoon”. We are so honored to be able to capture such a magical time in their lives as they journey closer to parenthood! We’re so excited for them.

Family Stories :: Camden & Adalyn turn ONE!

All families have stories, and this is one of great triumph. Ryan & Carrie tried and prayed for years to blessed with a child. They watched as friends got pregnant and had children.”Why not us?” they thought. After many years of trying, praying, and many doctor visits, they were finally blessed in a very BIG way- TWINS! To top it off, they got one of each- a perfect little boy and a beautiful little girl. We couldn’t be happier for them. They asked us to photograph them as a family in celebration of their precious babies turning one. We got some great images of them just hanging out and being a family. We let babies be babies and do what babies do! Camden & Adalyn are so precious and full of life!

Thanks, Ryan & Carrie, for giving us the honor of capturing such a precious time in the life of your kids and for you as parents. This is a huge milestone and one we are delighted to be a part of! We love you guys and wish you continued blessings in your journey as parents.

Family Stories:: Reminiscing About Italy at Bella Collina

Mike met up with Chris & Theresa along with their very close friends and “family” at Bella Collina a few weeks ago. I say “family” because Mark & Chris grew up like brothers- brothers from other mothers! Family is truly who you make them to be. They had all taken a trip to Italy recently and had a blast. Going to Bella Collina for an afternoon of hanging out and playing bocce ball & pool was the closest thing to bringing those Italy memories back. This is such a fun group and they just love being together. Even grandma got in on the fun

Growing Up :: Adaline is 6 months old

Adaline and her family came to town from Lake City a few weeks ago for a day at SeaWorld. Mike stopped by their hotel to get a few images of Adaline and big brother Gage. I almost didn’t recognize Gage without his rock ‘n roll hairdo. He had on his Easter outfit, so I guess a more conservative style was more appropriate. I miss the rock ‘n roll do and hope it comes back! Gage was caught giving hugs and kisses to his beautiful baby sister. How precious! We just love this growing family!

You can also see Adaline as a newborn and at 3 months. Check out mommy, Karen, when she was glowingly pregnant with her precious angel.

Family Stories :: Meet Miss Molly

A couple of weeks ago Mike met Miss Molly and her family at Disney to help celebrate Molly’s 5th birthday. What an amazingly adorable and happy little girl. She is so full of life and in awe of everything. She just loves life! Molly joined this family just four years ago when her parents traveled to the other side of the world to bring her home. Many prayers were answered that day and she has been nothing but a blessing ever since.

Since Frank & Allyson’s dream of having a little girl came true, they took Molly to the place where dreams do indeed come true-Walt Disney World! Mike spent several hours hanging out and getting to know this special and very loving family. Please enjoy a few of our favorites from their session at Disney. At the end of day when Molly’s parents asked her what the favorite part of her day way, she said it was hanging out with “Uncle Mike”. Wow, he beat out breakfast with Cinderella. Pretty impressive!!

Family Stories :: Meet Baby Faith

Just one month ago a precious little angel was born to very, very happy parents. Mike & Vicky invited us into their home to capture their beautiful daughter when she was just one week old! I just LOVE newborns. They have the most precious little cries and noises they make. And they are such great little snugglers on your chest!

Baby Faith was named after Michael’s grandmother Faith, who always kept the faith in God that life and love would be restored. Well. nothing restores life and love life a newborn baby. Michael now gets what it’s like to have baby- it changes EVERYTHING!!! We couldn’t be happier for these new sleep-deprived, surviving on adrenaline parents. Welcome to the club

Family Stories :: Reese Is Turning One

We’ve had the pleasure of watching Reese grow over the past year. She absolutely adorable!! We were asked by Megan & Ryan to not only do a 1 yr session, but create images for her 1st Birthday party invitation that we custom designed. This will be the 3rd set of custom cards we’ve done for this family and they just LOVE them! And we just LOVE this family! We are so excited about what the future holds for them and how God continues to bless them

Reese will be one on May 6th. The year has flown by! I only wish they lived closer. Enjoy some of our favorites form her session a few weeks ago. Happy Birthday, Reese!!!
